Admissions Information

Holy Family School is now accepting registrations for students in grades Pre School through 8. Click on the toggles below for more information.

Grade 1-8

Required forms (copies only please):

  • Birth certificate
  • Baptismal certificate
  • Immunization record
  • Progress reports, report cards, copies of standardized
    testing requested for all students

All applications are considered conditional based on completed application form, an interview with students (grades 1-8), conferences with transferring school and a review of academic records. Call the school (781- 878-1154) with questions, or to arrange an appointment with the principal.

Pre-School/ Pre-K

Pre-School Three Year Old Program/Pre Kindergarten Four Year Old Program

Children entering preschool/pre-kindergarten must be age 3 or 4 years of age on or before August 31st. A non-refundable seat fee of $350.00 per student will be deducted from tuition.

Kindergarten

Children entering kindergarten must be 5 years of age on or before August 31st.

All students entering Kindergarten will be screened in the spring.

Is Holy Family School accredited?

Holy Family School is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

How do I enroll my child in PS - Kindergarten?

All students entering Kindergarten will be screened in the spring. Information on exact dates and times will be forthcoming. Please click on Admissions tab for more information.

What are the requirements for volunteering at HFS?

A completed CORI Form and successful participation in a two-hour training program called Protecting God’s Children are required of all adults who will be volunteering in any capacity in the school. If you anticipate volunteering during the school year, please call the office for more information. (781) 878-1154

Holy Family Parish will offer subsidies to children (beyond the first child) whose families are registered and active in the faith life of the parish, and who have contributed by regular use of offertory envelopes a minimum of $600 for the period from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. The policy on subsidy percents and the amount required to be given in offertory from other parishes should be worked out by each family and the pastor of their parish.

What is the role of the Parents’ Association?

We have a very active Parents’ Association, which encourages your involvement. Their activities include two book fairs, Christmas fair, and an end-of-year carnival among other events. Volunteers are welcomed and needed. Communications from the HFSPA are posted at Parents Association.

Are there any after school activities?

Performing Arts, Robotics Club, Tech Workshops, Children’s Choir, Basketball, and Cheerleading.

When is Open House and Registration?

HFS hosts 3 Open Houses and Registration Sessions each year. Mass will be at 9 a.m. with Open House running from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the school, behind the church.

What are the school hours?

Students are expected to be in line in the parking lot at 8:10 a.m., at which time they will be admitted to class. There is no supervision in the parking lot before this time. Dismissal will begin at 2:45 p.m. for bus students and at 2:50 p.m. for carpool students.

Is there Rockland Bus Service?

The bus service is provided to Rockland residents. All questions regarding bus service should be directed to the Rockland Public Schools Superintendent’s Office at 781-878-3893.

Does HFS have physical education?

Physical education classes are held once weekly. Children in all grades have gym classes at the school except in inclement weather when grades 3-8 travel to the Rockland Community Center. A school gym uniform is required.

What is the dress code?

Students must wear a school uniform to school.
